Christmas Day at the seaside
25th December 2011
In: News / Blog
As usual we had our Christmas dinner on Christmas eve. Christmas day we packed a picnic, including the obligatory turkey and cranberry cobs and headed for the coast. What a great day we had, warm for the time of year, some sun although lots of wind.
Crossing the dunes and before you ask no this isn't a major Photoshop rework, the colours were vibrant with wonderful blue in the sky.

Here's my lovely wife, Georgina, practicing a cross-wind take off

My eldest Claire, she chose this one of herself

Sisters together in the wind (bleach bypass processing)

and a fine evening drive home to wind it up (two exposures blended to cope with the dynamic range)

All pictures taken with Leica M9 and Summarit lenses.
I hope you all enjoyed as good a day as us. Wishing you all the best for 2012.
