Indifferent weather can produce outstanding photographs

07th September 2017
It is 12 months since we moved house and I have been busy knocking a blank canvas of a garden into shape - and enjoying it so much. Despite short trips away to Norfolk, Cornwall, Norfolk and Suffolk and Wales it felt as if my enthusiasm for photography was waning. I had cancelled a couple of trips due to poor weather forecasts and then I got that feeling that I had to go out with my camera.

The forecast was mixed and it was only for the day so I decided to go to my local city Leicester. I started at Victoria Park, then went next door around part of Leicester University and felt prompted to have a look at Leicester’s other Uni, DeMontfort University. Well it turned out to be a great trip with some interesting photo’s and with a friends encouragement (thank you Dave) I shall be doing much more architectural and city work in future I expect.

Yet again I have learnt that indifferent weather can produce outstanding photographs, between bouts of grey cloud and flat light a little burst of sunshine against a threatening sky produced my photo of the day at Leicester Uni.
