Panoramas on Acrylic glass

A selection of Panoramas available as a direct print behind acrylic glass. Printed for me by Whitewall, one of the foremost processing labs in the country, trusted by many leading professional photographers.

The image is printed directly behind premium, brand-name acrylic glass ("Lumasec Esprit®"), a finish that offers depth, shine, luminescence - and natural UV protection. All edges are cut and sanded with a Wolfram CNC cutter. To reinforce and protect your image, we back it using 3mm foamboard (Forex®): optimal stability and no translucence! UV direct printing is particularly light resistant and colour consistent - and even water resistant - and therefore suitable for interiors, baths, and kitchens, as well as for exteriors protected from rain and direct sunlight! Our newest UV Art Print technology guarantees direct printing's longevity and durability. Every print is tempered six times with UV radiation. With this modern finish, you can hang your work immediately.

Quality to last a lifetime at an affordable price.

If an acrylic is damaged when you receive it you must notify the carrier and return it, do not sign for the goods without checking. A replacement will be provided without further cost.

Many other options are available including;
Direct prints on aluminium backing
Direct print behind acrylic glass
Original photo print on aluminium backing
Original photo print under acrylic glass
Canvas on stretcher frame
Art box aluminium

These are made for me by probably the best photo lab in the country as used and recommended by many professional photographers and art galleries; your order takes about three weeks to print and ship.

ABOUT BILL ALLSOPP

I have been involved in photography for most of my life; I have been, and still am, passionate about photography. First and foremost I am a landscape photographer but I also enjoy making photographs of flowers, plants and anything that appeals to me.

One question every photographer gets asked from time to time is “What equipment do you use?” I have used many different types, sizes and formats over the years. My first camera was a box camera, which I was given when I was about 5 years old; a long while ago now. I progressed through various film cameras, both 35mm and medium format and finally went digital in 2002. To me photography is about the image, what equipment you use is secondary, as much as possible I travel light and spend far less time fiddling with the equipment and more seeking out the subject and the way to interpret that and to convey what I see and feel.

What camera do I use? I have a Canon 7D and a Leica M9 as my principal tools. My Canon shoots the moment but my Leica is a brush with which I can paint the world.

As you will see from my website, landscape photography is a major feature of my personal work these days, alongside my interest in monochrome. I give occasional talks to photographic societies on digital monochrome.

My pictures have been published by magazines, used for advertising, on greetings/birthday cards and on the internet. You can buy prints or acquire a licence for advertising, editorial or other use. I am also available to produce commissioned work.

In my photographs I seek to present my own interpretation of my subject and to maximise the impact of the beautiful landscape rather than simply record what is in front of me. “Bad” weather adds mood to most scenes, I like stormy and wet conditions, providing I can stop my equipment getting wet.

DIGITAL MONOCHROME

It is many years since I made my first monochrome image with a box camera and for some years I have specialised in making digital monochrome images.

Many of them are shown in the monochrome galleries on this site but more are being added to Monochrome Art (Click to view - opens new window)

Over this time I have experimented with many different techniques, tried lots of software and plug-ins in a constant search to improve. Whilst doing this I have made many notes, some of which are repeated on this site with a view to helping others. I also give talks to local photographic societies on the subject.

Thank you for visiting this website, new pictures will be added regularly, please view again!
